Major Arcana



The Major Arcana are set of 22 cards, The terms "Major" and "Minor Arcana" are used in the occult and divinatory
The Major Arcana had simple allegorical or exoteric meaning, mostly originating in elite ideology in the Italian courts of the 15th century when it was invented



Each card in the major arcana has a name and number
Such as Fool, The Lovers, Magician 

There are also cards with astronomical names, such as the
Star, Moon, and Sun


The major arcana is often considered as a unit. Different schemes have been developed to show how the cards form patterns that cast light on the human condition. Numerology, astrology and other esoteric sciences often play a role in these schemes.
